I’m in Germany, go snowboarding in switzerland frequently… there’s quite a few Glacier’s that stay open quite late… as late as May. April is a fine time to go, as long as you go to one of these glaciers… such as Grindelwald has a glacier I believe. Best time would be late Jan. - early March though.

The weather it was barely cold at all depends on what type of the runs open most the year the snow was better last year but snow just sometimes not doing as expected due to have great runs will be opened etc.
