Tusia asked: Will it give me any discounts on lifts?
If yes, how much?
Which would be better: a local regional card + transfer ticket or a Swiss pass?
I plan to spend 8 days there.

Crikey a Wild Ski Bum asked: I’m considering a skiing trip to Switzerland/Italy next winter if I can secure the funds, but I don’t speak a lick of italian or… what do they speak in switzerland? Italian?
Anyway, I speak enough spanish to understand signs and brochures and stuff, and I know they’re similar. But talking to people I’d be screwed.

Tags: Best Car Hire Deals in Switzerland, car hire in switzerland, Discount Car Hire in Switzerland, Sized Cars

Gen Wright asked:
Switzerland is a great get away for many vacationers and tourists, but getting away means you must also have a way to get around. Your means of transport may spoil your trip, or create a more memorable trip for you. That’s why you should compare cheap car hire at airports across Switzerland in order to make sure you’re getting the best deal available. You should also keep in mind that many car hire operations offer the best deals when you make your reservations several weeks in advance. This provides them with enough notification to have your car ready and waiting on you, while providing you with a discount of around 10%. Companies that offer such discounts usually prefer you to make the reservation online, but they do take reservations over the phone.
Two of the best companies in Switzerland to hire your car from include Avis and Hertz. These two companies have many locations across all of Switzerland and include great features with many of their car hire plans. Both companies will deliver their car to you at the airport as part of their plan, and have a driver to pick it up, if there is not a car hire dealer nearby. Both Avis and Hertz take reservations for their car hire service online, offering up many great auto choices, from convertibles to 4×4s for getting around in snowy terrain. Hertz also offers many green vehicles for those with an environmentalist mindset. If you’re looking for cheap car hire in Switzerland, there are other options for you.
Budget car hire has booths at both the Zurich and Geneva airports, shortly after you enter them. They offer competitive rates on all vehicles, from small sized cars to large sized SUVs. Budget also offers a 10% discount for customers who prepay their car hire service and make their reservation at least six weeks in advance. Their service also includes theft protection and a collision damage waiver to give you the peace of mind you need while driving in Switzerland. If you are sure of your destination and your travel itinerary, Budget car hire may be the best deal for you.
If none of these options seem like they fit you, or you’re still unsure of certain parts of your journey, you should compare car hire in Switzerland with Avis, Budget, Dollar, Economy, and Hertz. This way you are sure to get the best deal for your vacation or general travel needs. Always keep in mind that the sooner you reserve your car, the better chance you have of receiving a discount, as well as the type of car you want. Cars are served on a first come first serve basis, so earlier is always better.

Bente Rayfield asked:
All of us encounter the need for car rental whenever we go for a trip our lifetime. The best car rental in Switzerland trip is to get a cost effective car hire or rental for your holidays, is always book early, before school vacations. A Switzerland Car rental company offers you best services with affordable price.
“Whenever you need to drive in an out of town or city, car hiring may be the best option you have.”
Make sure either you must have a valid Switzerland license or an international driving license before you rent a car in Switzerland. Switzerland’s car rental services are comprehensive and efficient. Actually within the city hiring a car is an environment friendly alternative. If you plan, whenever going for a trip you will probably save considerable cost of a car rental in Switzerland. Reserving a car ahead of time may cost less than an immediate rental.
Important aspects while hiring a car:
-Book travel insurance online
-call a consultant to be covered before you travel
-store travel document details, travel dates and contact details securely
-Make sure the car hire company provides full coverage on the car while you are going to drive
-Look into all the rental details of insurance before you hire a vehicle.
-Get resources online you need to make your traveling experience safe, and hassle free.
Many online car rental agencies through search engines like Google will provide you with details and help you to reserve a car in Switzerland if you want to work ahead of time. It was estimated that approximately 2.5 million people are getting away for the holiday season last year; numbers this year are predicted to rise. Popular destinations around the Christmas season include Spanish resorts, UK, Barbados as well as ski resorts in countries such as Switzerland. So mostly hiring a car in UK, hiring a car in Spain, hiring a car in Barbados or hiring a car in Australia is somewhat make you hassle. So book your vehicle in advance in order to save your money and then you will be away from disappointment and you can fully enjoy your trip.
